FUTURES FOR CHILDREN: Announcement of new logo

Albuquerque, NM Futures for Children today announced a new, official logo representing successful program growth and an increased focus on American Indian educational achievement. Designed by GNG Advertising, a Native owned Albuquerque based design firm, the new symbol captures the evolution and promise of Futures for Children (FFC) which began in Albuquerque in 1968 and has successfully served over 15,000 students.

Like the FFC program evolution, the new logo builds upon its original design. Continuing the theme of the original logo and symbolizing the power and joy of the relationships built through the FFC program are two figures in the center. The future, represented by the student, is supported by family, by mentors, by staff and by FFC educational programs. Other important characteristics of the new logo include the use of feathers because each and every success is symbolized by feathers, a traditional recognition of accomplishment. Another design element includes the organization name itself, which is laid out so it wraps the future around our children, for together they hold both the promise and the dream.

The new logo is proudly released in honor of all past success and in anticipation of continued growth for FFC in the upcoming decades and can be viewed at: www.futuresforchildren.org
