Mentorship

WHAT CAN YOU DO?

Become a Futures for Children mentor. Individuals, families and groups outside the reservation provide K-12 students with vitally needed one-to-one mentoring and encouragement to stay in school, graduate from high school, continue into post secondary programs and succeed academically. Mentors and students are asked to correspond with each other at least every other month. Futures for Children mentors commit to a minimum of two years so that mentor and student can get to know each other.

Each of our mentors has a unique story to tell, each of our students a unique experience. Yet among them all there is a single story of what is means to be a part of Futures for Children. It is the story of what it means to be a friend. No matter who you are or where you are from, in the end that is what Futures for Children is all about. "Without my mentor's constant support and encouragement I wouldn't have been fortunate to continue my education."
