DAVID BEAULIEU, PH. D. – Member at Large (Board); Governance Chair
Scottsdale, Arizona. Director, Center for Indian Education, Arizona State University. PH.D. in Education Administration from University of Minnesota. In 1991, he was appointed by Governor Carlson as the Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Human Rights and served as Director of the Office of Indian Education, U.S. Department of Education from 1997 to 2001. Has served on numerous boards including, Common Cause, the University of Minnesota Alumni Association, the St. Paul Foundation, The Minnesota Foundation and The St. Paul Public Education Fund. Currently on the board of National Fund for Excellence in Native American Education and 2004-2005 President of National Indian Education Association. Futures for Children donor. MARJORIE COLEBUT-JACKSON
Mashantucket, Connecticut. Current Councilwoman for the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and Chairperson of the Tribe’s Administrative Support and Judicial Standing Committees and Chair of the Pow Wow subcommittee. Former President and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Pequot Health Care. Received a nursing degree from the Helen School of Nursing in New York and accumulated 18 years of nursing experience. Currently on the board of the Elderly Housing Development and Operations Corporation (EHDOC) and a corporator of Lawrence & Memorial Hospital. Futures for Children donor. Wood Dale, Illinois. Chairman of the Board of Madden Communications, Inc., a manufacturer and distributor of in-store promotional materials located in the Chicago area. Joined the sales department of Madden Graphics in 1975, with career advancements to the position of vice president of sales, CEO, and finally, chairman of the board. Received a BA from Northwestern University in 1979. Has served on numerous charitable and nonprofit boards in the past including Futures for Children, Maryville Academy in Des Plaines, IL, and Dominican University, River Forest, IL. ELZA BERGERON GROSS
La Cañada Flintridge, California. Co-owner of the Santa Fe Southern Railway headquartered in Santa Fe, New Mexico. An active community volunteer, Elza is a member of The Assistance League of Flintridge and the Flintridge La Cañada Guild of the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, California. She is a past developer of Vista Sierra Bonita, a residential community in Lamy, New Mexico and is a former Casting Director and Associate Director of Television Talent for Paramount Studios.
